Hi! I’m Jupite Mark U. Banayag— a tinkerer at heart, an agriculturist by profession, and a lifelong learner fueled by curiosity.
My story begins with a deep fascination for how ideas grow, how a simple thought, when nurtured by curiosity and persistence, can evolve into a project that positively impacts communities. Over the years, I’ve learned that research is more than just data and results; it’s about people, possibilities, and purpose.
At Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC), I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Research and Development Division, where I work with passionate people who believe in making science work for society. From revitalizing the major crop industries to promoting sustainable agriculture and community innovation, I’ve seen firsthand how collaboration transforms challenges into opportunities.
But my journey isn’t confined to research alone. I’m drawn to digital agriculture, technology-based solutions, and the art of connecting science with everyday lives. I enjoy exploring questions like: How can sensors help farmers make better decisions? Or how can education bridge the gap between innovation and local realities?
